Because you know, when it concerns investing money in the stock market, or any other kind of exchange, there's always going to be a reasonable measure of risk involved. You'll make an immense amount of cash and retire, or you'll turn a loss and lose your shirt with a poor decision.

It does not require any investment, sales, obligation, commitment, risk, liability, or any need to borrow any money, [...]

Over 70% through the second-quarter earnings season, profits look to have grown 42% and profit margins nearly 10%. But a closer look at the reports still shows signs of weak consumer spending, with companies benefiting largely from cost-cutting, leaving stocks to question the outlook. Go to Source

You cannot neuter male birds, and can only spay hens when they are in extreme risk should they remain entire. These procedures are very risky for these animals.
As far as I know, female horses and other female livestock are not desexed, either.
Usually, it is easier to castrate male animals than to spay females.
Guinea pigs are usually higher risk, which is why it is normally the males that are neutered.
Both sexes of rabbits and rats are often desexed.
Mice are not desexed as far as I am aware.
Female ferrets should be desexed, as they will die if they are not mated.
That is all that I can think of. There are always risks with anesthetic.

Actually, that's a crock of shit. Any modern microeconomic text worth its salt (e.g. Mas-Colell, Nicholson Snyder, etc.) has extensive coverage of the incorporation of uncertainty and information asymmetry into classical microeconomic theory.
Christian Gollier, for instance, has down very impressive theoretical work to analyze the affect of time and risk on economic decision-making.
That is in addition to the work down by countless neoclassical theorists, who have much to say about "current and existing economic issues".
Anyone who thinks that modern economics is stuck in the 18th century simply hasn't bothered to do their research.
