Your downfall is the shopping. You can't have money if you spend it and no tips on the planet will work for you if you don't set your goals and work to achieve them. You might want to find a part time job and probably too young to work for an employer but you can work for yourself. What are your skills? Use them to help your customers and clients. Check out the library for books like "Fast Cash for Kids" by Bonnie & Noel Drew. Have your parents open up a savings account for you… DO NOT accept an ATM card and continue to fund that account with every dollar you can until the trip. Once you see the balance accumulating, you will have more motivation to funding it and not using it. Stay out of stores. Borrow and trade things with friends. Use the services of the library. You have to choose between your shopping and your longer term goals.

You have a story that might be a pretty good one if you make it more believable.
